Our luxuriously soft WHITE Bamboo towelling is 95% Bamboo and 5% Poly. measuring 150cm wide and weighing 420g/m2.
This fabric is like a french terry on one side and in between a fleece and a terry on the other side. This weave makes it particularly suitable for snappis as it won't catch or pull.
Bamboo is naturally anti-microbial and can be used for a range of things - wipes, nappies, prefolds, boosters, breast pads, facewashers, towels, tea towels, baby towels, bathrobes and anything else that tickles your fancy.
IMPORTANT! Before using your bamboo, put it through a hot wash and dry to make the loops tighten and lock down, as bamboo towelling is known for being a delicate fabric prior to being washed for the first time due to the silkiness of its loops. Shrinkage with a one metre piece is only a couple of centimetres and a metre of this fabric should make at least 2 complete nappies or lots of mixed fabric nappies.
Please note that bamboo fabrics are only a fairly recent addition to the textiles world and as such there aren't the sort of long term studies for durability that are available for fabrics like hemp or cotton. Bamboo fabrics are super dooper soft but if you're after a tried and tested workhorse fabric, go for hemp because it has really stood the test of time.
